Industrial Accident

At approximately 12:22PM a Concord Police detail officer reported a male working at a construction site in the area of Independence and Alcott roads was struck by a vehicle. The Concord Fire Department responded and transported the male to an area hospital with serious injuries. Concord Police along with Massachusetts State Police will be investigating this incident. OSHA has also been notified.

About Chief Joseph O'Connor

Chief Joseph O’Connor joined the Concord Police Department in June of 2014 after having served on the MBTA Transit Police Department with distinction from 1990-2014 and previously served as a police officer for the towns of Dennis and Winchester during his career. He rose through the ranks of the Transit Police, from Patrolman to Superintendent-in-Chief.
He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Curry College. He is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police.
