Please be advised that Concord Public Work’s contractor for the Roads Program, Lazaro Paving, will be performing roadway work on Baker Avenue Extension on Saturday, June 1st, 2019 from approximately 7 AM to 3:30 PM. This work entails the pulverization and re-grading of the existing roadway surface. Heavy equipment will be present and operational. There will be alternating traffic throughout the work zone, however expect localized delays near the construction crews and seek alternate routes, if possible. About Chief Joseph O'Connor
Chief Joseph O’Connor joined the Concord Police Department in June of 2014 after having served on the MBTA Transit Police Department with distinction from 1990-2014 and previously served as a police officer for the towns of Dennis and Winchester during his career. He rose through the ranks of the Transit Police, from Patrolman to Superintendent-in-Chief.
He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Curry College. He is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police.
