Please be advised that National Grid and its Subcontractors will be performing a gas main replacement inside the roadway on Hubbard Street between the intersection of Thoreau Street and Walden Street starting Monday, July 26, 2021 and continuing for several months. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm. Work entails trenching, gas main installation with patching, milling/grinding of existing asphalt and overlaying with new asphalt to repair the roadway. Alternating traffic will be maintained, however, expect localized delays near construction crews. About Chief Joseph O'Connor
Chief Joseph O’Connor joined the Concord Police Department in June of 2014 after having served on the MBTA Transit Police Department with distinction from 1990-2014 and previously served as a police officer for the towns of Dennis and Winchester during his career. He rose through the ranks of the Transit Police, from Patrolman to Superintendent-in-Chief.
He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Curry College. He is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police.
