CONCORD — Police Chief Thomas Mulcahy and Fire Chief Thomas Judge report that the Concord Police and Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash this morning.
On Tuesday, Jan. 16, at approximately 10:03 a.m., Concord Police and Fire received reports that a truck traveling eastbound on Route 2 near Old Road to Nine Acre Corner had crashed into a guardrail.
Upon arrival crews observed a pickup truck that was partially in the Sudbury River. The two occupants exited the truck before first responders arrived.
No injuries were reported. One occupant was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.
The truck was not leaking oil or gas after the incident and there is no environmental hazard.
Crews will remain on scene until the truck is removed from the river. A rotator tow truck will be used to safely remove the vehicle from the river.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Concord Police Department and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS).
